hi all, im new to home brewing and i think i may have ruined my last batch! i bottled the ale two weeks ago and it has cleared nicely so i thought it would be a good idea to transfer the bottles to a fridge i have in the shed but its now all gone cloudy! is it ruined?
Re: help needed
If your brew was clear before fridging, then it's most likely just "chill haze". Caused by precipitation of proteins in the beer, and harmless (apart from just making the beer look cloudy): it has no detrimetal effect on taste/body etc.
So drink up; just don't look too closely.
Any particular reason why you're chilling an "ale"? Chilling is normal for lagers, but ales/bitters are more usually served much nearer room temp (in a pub, often at "cellar temperature", ie around 12-14 degC). For most HBers this just means keeping them in a cool room (eg the place where you moved them to allow settling/clearing) rather than in the fridge.

They'll clear as soon as they warm up.
