Cooper's Wheat Beer

I am hoping to make this at the weekend. I am going to use brewing sugar - how much should I use?

Use as much as per the kit instructions 1kg iirc.

Is the Coopers a good wheat beer? Does anyone know if there is a kit out there that'll taste anything like a German hefeweizen?

I have never made a "good" 1 can kit. All the kits I have done have been drinkable but just middle of the road. The premium 2 can all malt kits are better. I am sticking with All Grain. It's probably cheaper in the end and makes "real beer"

If I was to make any kits I would spray malt (dme) to replace the sugar and produce a better brew for a couple of quid more

I'm not sure on the 2 can wheat issue, as I do very little in the way of kits............I feel sure ther must be some type of premium kit. If not, try something like a Coopers and use spray malt with some basic water treatment, even if you just use a campden tablet to remove chlorine or try bottled water (it's not that expensive compared to the cost per finished pint relative to pub prices)

I have a coopers wheat to do ...will using regular light lme turn this out ok or should i get wheat extract.....thing is i have a 15kg drum of lme to get thru.....and its open so want to use it up...

I did my first one with 1KG of beer kit enhancher and it was very tasty pint. Second time round I used 500 grams Wheat DME and 500 g brewing sugar and dry hopped with 12 grams of Amarillo Hops, but the Amarillo Hops dominate too much.

there is a hoppy weiss from schneider / brooklyn combo never had it but its meant to be very good. hopenweiss or hofenweiss its called i think
