Just tried some of my ale it was drinkable but not amazing, the main thing is that is was flat Ive used the Young pressure Barrel. It was gugging in air when pouring out the drink any thoughts?

have you primed the barrel? and has it built up any pressure?

have you added any more CO2 in the form of a soda stream type cannister or those small bulbs?

if it's glugged in air then I'd drink it within a week or it'll be knackered from oxidation

it was primed as by the instruction 85g of sugar if memory serves me right. I didn't add any more Co2.

Sounds like a leak somewhere has let the CO2 escape.

Get drinking before this lot goes off, and before your next batch pressure test the barrel filled with water first, and try to find out where the leak is (the pressure relief valve is a favourite place).
