crown caps

bottling tommorow got all the bottles soaking in sterilising solution along with little bottler so all set but iv just had a thought about the crown caps, should i soak them overnight in baby sterilisation fluid or leave them as they are,just wondering about the chances of them oxidising and rusting ?

A few mins before I need them, I put them in a Pyrex jug and pour boiling water over them. Give them a little stir and by the time I need them, the water is cool and I just use them straight from the jug. Seems to work...

I am with Jerry on this one, I too just give them a short go for a minute in some boiling water, I haven't had any issues yet after countless brew sessions going back to 1990 (touch wood)

Must be the done thing. I also put them in a jug of boiling water.
I tend to fill the jug with boiling water first. Empty it, put in the caps and top up with more boiling water.
I then tip them into a small sieve and sit it over the jug when I'm bottling.

I sterilise in bleach solution, and then submerge and aggrevate in cold tap water before use.
