corni and line hygiene?

Just started using corni's with a pub gas setup. Wondering what kind of cleaning regime you all use. how often do I need to be cleaning the beer line and tap while I've got beer in the keg?

This probably goes way beyond the accepted norm but I run my beer from cornie to tap via a flash chiller and there is usually a pint a day drawn off at least and being lazy I've left it a couple of weeks and longer between flushing it! Probably not good and it took some cleaning when I decided to try dispensing soda water via the chiller but I've not noticed any difference in the taste of the beer when I re-tapped it after the clean. I just know it's wrong and it goes against everything that I've learned so either my tastebuds are shot or you can get away with it.

What other cleaning solutions is sutiable for sanatising a corni? Is Brupaks Bruclean ok?
