So taking the Coniston Bluebird recipe Norm posted (and using Beer Engine), but bearing in mind the hops to hand, Northdown, I went with:
Brew length 20 litres,
Target gravity 1036
Pale malt 3.043kg
Crystal Malt 0.148kg
Northdown 0.027kg
90 minute boil
Late hops - Northdown 0.018kg (15 mins from end)
Yeast used S-04
Managed to mix in a trip to the fireworks, between the sparge and the boil (heated wort to 85C, then left while we were out). Delighted that the mash didn't stick this time and my new hop stopper (made from the sieve which formed the old one but dismantled and folded over) worked well.
Finished the boil at 10pm Saturday night and moved to FV . Ended up hitting 21 litres at 1034, slightly light on gravity but for the first time I made my volume!

Pitched yeast at 10am Sunday morning. As of Sunday evening it is starting to bubble.
