Hi folks,new to the forum :wink:

Just tried to get some nelsons out me keg,and it was flat,put some CO2 in S30 type and it didnt go in escaping from rubber band.
Tried a couple of times no joy.

The rubber band's ye pressure release valve, of course. This suggests that ye keg's fair bursting with CO2 as it is.

That being the case, I'd expect the beer to gush out in a jet of foam. Why isn't it? Simple logic suggests a problem with the tap. You are sure ye opening the tap right?

Failing that? It might be a duff valve. Weak, thus holding none of that CO2.

Ok. What I'd do; I'd unscrew the lid and try pouring a pint. If that works? Valve's knackered. Get the lid screwed back and leave well alone till tomorrow, when ye shoot off to ye LHBS and grab a replacement rubber band.

I'd also give it one last, tiny shot of gas, once the lid's back. Just to leave something over that brew.

Maybe someone else here will have different ideas?

I'd whip the cap off and check the gas inlet rubber hasn't popped off its stalk. That's happened to me a couple of times. :?

Now fixed,had over tightened the top,and CO2 was getting out.

Undone it ever so slighty and it was an easy fix,did replace the top rubber though :wink:

Update,was still leaking CO2,took cap off and white rubber sealing ring was split :evil:
