Brewed an elderflower ale over a week ago and added 650g of honey when I racked it into secondary on Saturday. Should there be much visible fermentation activity? No bubbles or krausen whatsoever. Airlock also idle.
Was expecting something from 650g of honey in a 23L batch.
Cheers all.

Re: Honey in secondary
I would have expected some pretty vigorous action.
Maybe whack some dextrose in there to get things started.

Re: Honey in secondary
I have just done one like this..................it should be showing action (temp around 20C?) It would have been better to add the honey a little earlier. I go for about 4 days while ther is still some action going on

Re: Honey in secondary
Sh*it. Nothing yet. Heard that putting it into secondary retains more flavour. It should pick up over the next week or two surely?
