Right, I have a brubox which (I think) is nearly due to be bottled - the instructions state 10 days for fermentation, that would come round tomorrow evening, or when there's less than 1 bubble per min - I just timed this and its around 75 seconds between bubles.
I have a hydrometer, purchased when I was going to make Turbo Cider, which I did NOT use at the start of the process, so how useful is this hydrometer vs the 1 bubble a min idea? - Should the beer be reading a particular gravity when it's ready? - It's their London Bitter, which many claim to be similar to London Pride.
If it makes any difference, I intend to bottle, into 1l and 2l PET bottles.
1 bubble per min vs hydrometer
Re: 1 bubble per min vs hydrometer
Any rough guide as to what the final gravity should be? - I took a small amount out on Thursday and it still tasted quite sweet, perhaps I'll take some later today and see what it says tomorrow too.
Re: 1 bubble per min vs hydrometer
Thanks for the info - that's very useful. According to some online calculator that means it's going to be around 4.4% abv. kinda what you'd expect I guess.
You're right, I don't want to keep drawing off as 10l isn't a huge run (tiny most would say!)
