wheat beer and hops ?

Is hopping a coopers wheat beer kit against eh grain totally ? never made a wheat beer but i like and Im on a bit of a hop fetish at the moment hops. Have aurora / tettanger / smagard hops at hand and a coopers wheat beer kit and lots and lots of light LME.....also some crystal malt....

any one suggest an adaption ? or am i best off sticking to kit and lme ?

Something with a citrusy aroma might go well.

It doesn't really go, but as the previous poster said, something citrussy in small quantities can be OK. Liberty hops are nice in a wheat beer. A bit of Aurora could work too.

If you have a hop that you really like you will probably like it in a wheat beer.
I really like amarillo and would not hesitate to hop up a wheat beer with it. I also really like goldings and sterling, got both growing in my back yard: either one of those would go good in a wheat beer.

I dry hopped 14g Amarillo in a coopers wheat and found them to be over powering

thanks for replies....I boil up a bit of aurora for 15 mins and see how it goes....really liking my hop bite lately. But with winter closing in a hoppy wheat isnt exactly normal but who cares,

well i made the coopers wheat kit with 500g lme and 400 g sugar ( made to 20 L ).. 2 weeks primary 10 days bottle ...results are good. looks perfectly like a weiss, great head nice cloudyness...tastes nice only draw back is its a bit like a lager /wheat combo due to using regular LMe not wheat malt. All in all very happy with it.

My last coopers wheat was made with 500 g wme and 500g brewing sugar and its tasty after just under two weeks in the bottle
