Hi There,
Currently have Olde Home Wrecker in the FV. Been in for 7 days now. Started off well, OG of 1040 as instructed, good yeast head for a couple of days and all died down after 3-4 days as per instructions. However, the current G is only about 1014 at best, the instructions say it should be down to 1009. So I've gently roused the yeast sediment, but nothing has happened, temp has been good so that shouldn't be a problem.
Do I say oh well and keg it and see what happens, or do I add another yeast (I have S04) and see what happens. I have no yeast Vit tho as some of the members say you need to fresh a batch? There are so many options to fresh that I'm a bit stuck and want the simplest option as I merely have S04 and not alot else to play with at present.
Thoughts please people.
Twist or Stick (Fresh Yeast or not?)
Re: Twist or Stick (Fresh Yeast or not?)
Just leave it , check your sg daily when it reads the same for two days keg it, 1.014 isn't far off the mark, if you can get it lower all well and good but I wouldn't add more yeast at this stage. I leave mine for 10 days at least before kegging.

Ok, thanks for that, I'll keep on checking, but it does seem stuck at 1014...
