What kit shall I start today?

Post by scottmoss » Sat Nov 28, 2009 12:41 pm

I'm undecided on which kit I should start within the next hour.

Shall I go for the Milestone Black Pearl or my Fixby Gold. I'm quite tempted with the Stout as I've not got any stout (or have done any stout before).

Answers on papers... :D

Personally, I prefer a darker, malty beer during the winter months, so it would be the stout for me.

I'd say its stout weather. 8)

the fixby gold if you haven't done it before is a fantastic pint, but for my taste as a light hoppy golden ale its a really nice warm weather beer (preferably bottled and chilled a bit. lovely) - my batch in the summer was just the job for a warm evening.

at the end of the day its up to you what you fancy. The Black Pearl is supposed to be a nice one.

I will chime in also with a recommendation for the stout kit. A good stout makes for a nice drop at this time of year

Thanks for all the replies.

The votes have been counted and verified and I now can reveal the results....

I will now start my stout! Thanks for the heads up.

Just bottled my Brewferm Tarwebier in x2 iBrew bottles and x6 500ml bottles, it's the first time I've crown capped any of my beer so quite chuffed how easy it was!

Ahh gutted only just read your reply. I did it at the stated 22.5 litres. Cheers anyway.

Was it a good pint?
