Discuss making up beer kits - the simplest way to brew.

hi peeps iv only got one fv its a lidded type ( youngs) with no air lock do i just seal the lid when fermenting or do i put a clean cloth over the top and place the lid over alowing air to get in and pressure to escape

Fit the lid tightly and then gently unclip a 2" area. No towel required and the "raised 2" lip" will allow pressure to escape.

ta mate will do i mind my old man used to use muslin over his with no lid


ps just on the fly lager and beer kits say a draught and a lager kit can these be mixed at all say 500g of each

Aye, muslin or lid ( and I prefer lid) but but at once not required.

Not sure I understand the second line - a draft/draught what and a lager kit?

what i mean is if you have kits say a lager and a draught one can thesae be mixed
