1st kit
Re: 1st kit
I started off with a Youngs kit which was basically a fermenting vessel, hydrometer, cleaner and the lager kit with yeast and sugar.
I just added another FV with a tap, a youngs bottling cane and auto syphon and 48 swing top bottles and went from there.
The only down side was the lager itself was poor but I have never looked back.
Best thing I ever started doing.

Re: 1st kit
do starter kits come with everything you need? what about sterilization? and do they explain what to do?

Welcome
If you can find yourself a proper local homebrew shop (LHBS) that you can go to. I started with a kit from Wilkos but finding a good LHBS really help in terms of equiptment, kits and advice.

Re: 1st kit
yes cos there is 2 cans in this kit hence you don't need any brewing sugar for first time in fermentation. Only a small ammount for bottling or kegging

keg 1 : (Drinking) : Amarillo extract brew
keg 2 : (Conditioning) : Summer Ale extract
keg 3 : (Conditioning) : Lightening extract Goldings only
keg 4 : (Conditioning) : Lightening etxract

Re: 1st kit
I've used kegs, but only cos I didn't want to ask the local pubs for bottles so I could crown them all at home, is slightly easier to keg than bottle. So for starters maybe keg is better.
keg 1 : (Drinking) : Amarillo extract brew
keg 2 : (Conditioning) : Summer Ale extract
keg 3 : (Conditioning) : Lightening extract Goldings only

How do You prefer drinking ye beer?
Re: 1st kit
I would start off with kegs as it's much easier to clean one keg than cleaning 40+ bottles!
Re: 1st kit
ok so if i bought the woodfordes starter kit. i would need some co2 bulbs, some brewing sugar. would the pressure value do as a keg or not?
