Hops in the bag - "sterilised all" - did you steralise the hops as well?
Didn't sterilise the hops, straight in the bag and into the FV. I'm sure the reading festival will be good. I must go to the GBBF one year. Some of my English mates say its a blast.

Definitely worth a visit, but much better as a group of four or more.
As long as none of the group has foot and mouth, you can swap round and get to taste 40 or more beers that way  x40!
We normally go for halves so that you can try more.
40/4 is only five pints each so you can keep going or fill up with another 6 or 7 pints of ones you know you like :^o
(we always do the afternoon sesh, less drunken idiots....)

Befuggled and Jubby. PM received, will be in the post by start of next week at worst.

Edit 1.010 on Thursday afternoon, will have till tomorrow to settle and bottling Friday A.M. 4.7 ABV that will do nicely. Resisting a trial till tomorrow!

Job done, takes yonks to bottle this much beer! Still got the toffee thing going on, small willamette(6 days dryhop with 1.5oz) aroma as well. Took a glug from final hydro sample and we are on a winner with this. Carbing to 2.4 vols with heather honey. Hoping the merest smattering of the honey aroma survives the yeast onslaught in the bottle. I think it does but only just from previous use, could of course be kidding myself on.

Really like this yeast it adds a tiny bit to the beer but leaves it very clean indeed.

Turns out i got 11.3 gallon out of a start of 12 into bottles which will do me. I think its worth the losses to get the dross out the fermenter as the fermentation progresses, any opinions on this welcome?

I had one of my sample bottles tonight. Nice toffee thing going on. Carbonated already and fully clear. Slightly bitter, red tinge to the beer and kept its head all the way down, good body as well, toffee smell increased nicley as the beer warmed. Shoudln't be this good after only a week in the bottle. Can't wait to try after a month has passed. Interested to see how the hop aroma develops as it matures.
