What's your favourite Graham Wheeler recipe?
I've had the 'Brew your own British real ale at home' book for around 7 months now and have brewed four of the recipes in the book - all with very good results. There are so many recipes I can never decide which one to do next.
My current favourite is Highgate mild.
So come on, what's yours?

Of the few that I've done I would say that Gales Festival Mild is up there.

If you like the summer lightning you're sure to like the Gold....as it goes I'm thinking of an extract summer lightning tomorrow!
Re: What's your favourite Graham Wheeler recipe?
I'm on my second Summer Lightning (still conditioning) and my first one was one of the best beers I've ever had.I'm also drinking the Speckled Hen clone which is very good too. However they really do benefit from the full 6 weeks conditioning period.

I loved the Pendle Witches brew but it was my first AG so I may have rose tinted specs on....
The TTL was good as was Deuchars and Hooky Bitter

I`ve probably done Felinfoel Double Dragon the most. Never tried the real thing but love this version. I do alter it a bit, use the ingredients for 25lts and brew 23lts.

I'm drinking the elderflower now, used dried so its a bit cloudy but tatses great. i wanted something like Badgers elderflower (golden glory?) but not as sweet....it came out just right. The elderflowers should be out soon so its brew again time wirth that one and some more elderflower champagne .this is now almost a year old, the few remaining bottles are superb. I took one in the pub the other week for the landlady there, she loved it, passed it round he bar and it received 100% commendation. I was so very proud!

Black Sheep Ale after a few weeks conditioning in the bottle was the best beer I have ever made.

Picking up my GW book this afternoon and looking forward to it - will definitely be making a Summer Lightning/Exmoor Gold style pale ale as I haven't really done a beer of that style before and hopefully it will precipitate a long hot summer!! I might try and do a minimash-partial mash hybrid so I have a bit of conversion to do.....
