just thinking about moving towards all grain and introducing gypsum to my stock cupboard, and notice that most suppliers seem to offer 100g pots of it. However, the youngs label i can see in one picture suggests a rate of 1oz or 28g gypsum per gal, so for say a total mash and sparge volume of 7gals (before the usual losses) thats nearly 200g... or two whole pots per brew...
Seems a bit much?? Posts on here seem to suggest a couple of teaspoons (one in mash tun one in boiler); I don't know how much a teaspoon of it weighs but surely there are many more than one tsp per pot. Am i missing something about its use here? <certainly wouldn't be the first time!

Many thanks,
Kev.
