Salifert test kits - best supplier?

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Salifert test kits - best supplier?

Post by RichardG » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:34 am

Hi guys; I'm a resident of Halesowen in the fair (?! ) Black Country. Does anyone know of a supplier of these kits in my area? Those I've visited so far (not many I concede) have drawn a blank. Alternatively, a reliable online supllier, or forum member would be fine as well. Cheers!

It's about time a home brew shop stocked them. If they stock CRS then they ought to stock something to test the water as the two go hand in hand.

Have to agree with that; they do seem to be missing a trick there.

I got my last kit from Aquatics Express (online). They seemed about the cheapest at the time. No guarantee they still are, of course.

I got mine from Aquacadabra on ebay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Aquacadabra
back in November and it turned up very quickly and was the cheapest I could find online at the time. Currently £7.49 for the alkalinity test inc p+p, not sure if that's still a good price

On bottle: AG32 Homegrown Northdown ESB, AG33 Homegrown Cascade Best

That's where I got mine from! Same price you quote and turned up within a couple of days. Cool!

It's a good kit that one. The fact it comes with a buffer solution that you can accurately measure bang on every time says a lot.
Although having found my alkalinity to never waiver from 80mg/l every time, the novelty has certainly worn off a little (although i'm certainly not complaining)
