Cheap cure all

I seem to be getting away with just using a dilute bleach/vinegar solution for all my sanatising needs.
It seem to be to easy/cheap, am I like I said getting away with it or do others do this as well.

My last 3 or 4 brews I've used nothing else

I use nothing but cheap bleach 13p per litre. That's all I have used for years, about a 2% solution.

Yeah I read the vinegar makes it even more potent.

Just seems to good to be true, why pay good money for expensive sanatisers?

Because they are easier, more convenient and give better long term results, you even acknowledge as much yourself in your first post by suggesting you are 'getting away with it'.
Acidified bleach makes a great disinfectant - there is no disputing that - however it either needs to be rinsed (and if you are rinsing then its no more sanitary than the rinse water) or air-dried (which takes time and could potentially compromise the sanitation) or you risk the bleach having a negative effect on the taste of your beer.

Bleach works fine, but if you do the maths, a dedicated no rinse sanitizer works out at only a few extra cents/pennies per use, and they are easier to use and generally give better and more consistent results.

Air dried? If I leave my bleached bottles to drain until they are dry does that mean I don't have to rinse them? How does that work then?

I allways rinse and wouldnt really trust no rinse sanitisers.
There's obviously something in there killing the nasties and then we drink it, no thanks.

I think that's one of the things that causes hangovers, keeping it pure helps IMO
