Hambleton Bard Dry Kits

Anyone used these?
How do they work?
Boiling required?

Are they any good, most importantly..

Mrs H quite likes the lager in this range, they are a doddle to make up.

Just bring to the boil the amount of water as per the instructions (In the region of 6-8 pints if my memory serves me well!) and mix in the bag of spraymalt & required sugar, tip in the sachet or tub of hop extract, top up to 5 gallons with cold water, add the sachet of yeast & stir well, stand where the temperature is between 18c-22c & there you go, as simple as that!

If you do decide to brew this kit, I recommend that you allow your boiled water about 15-20 mins to cool slightly before mixing in the spraymalt to prevent it "clumping", add it bit by bit & stir regulary.

A regular hand whisk works for me. (when trying to get lumps out of spray malt, that is :oops: )

I actually don't own one at the moment.
The majority of my cookware was ah.. lost.

all i've got left is some henckel knives, and a cheapass chinese cleaver, and a few assorted electricals.

Oh how I wish I had read that before I first used spray malt :roll: took me ages to break down those clumps. But lesson learnt... the hard way.
