Gravity at 1010/1012 ish so...
I've just put the Dry hops in, decided to just dump them in without a bag as I've not got anything heavy enough I could sanitise to weight them down!
I'll maybe rack to secondary or something to try get the hops out before racking to bottling bucket, unless I make a Teaball strainer stick!

I can't wait to hear how this one sounds!
I struggle to imagine a beer with that much hops...

Tasted this last night to see how the dry hops were doing, its getting there, totally full of flavour and some nice floral coming from the Dry Hops. I'll probably give them until the end of the week then try and figure out how to bottle!

I'm considering a couple of options

Re: AG#36 - Imperial Amarillo Wheat (pics added)
You going for a Hefe or IIPA style carbonations?
Re: AG#36 - Imperial Amarillo Wheat (pics added)
This sounds good! Think I may have to have a go at a big hoppy beer ready for chirstmas!

196, I'm going for just a nice fizz that will subside a little when poured, nothing too lively but a good sparkle

I'm going to leave the Dry hops in for a week, so I'll probably be bottling at the weekend.

Bottled this yesterday and actually got approx 23 litres, quite a shock considering all the hop losses etc
Tasting bloody good, could have drunk it straight from the FV, I used a Teaball on the end of a piece of syphon tube and it did a cracking job, though I seem to have got a fair amount of sediment in the bottles, primed the bulk with 65g of White sugar... Hope that is enough, should be.

I'm crap, Can't Wait!!!!!
Aroma: Bit Green, Fruity!
Taste: Bitter, Heavy but light floral, some alcohol
Carbonation: Just a nice tingle with small visible bubbles rising
Colour: a light to medium amber
Body: it has some but is in the background to the Floral and bittering notes, though lingers after the bitterness
Overall: I'm happy
Give it a couple of weeks and it will have more bitterness and will no doubt loose the slight greenness.

The reason for first wort hopping is to lock in a smoother(not lesser) hop experience than late hopping. Its well worth a google search and a trial.Shadoxhurst wrote:why not put more late hops and less 90 min hops to get a bigger hop effect in the beer?
