I now have a few kegs. 2 are full of beer and one more Is due to be filled up soon. Once in the kegs with CO2 protection how long will the beer keep for. I would like to be able to maintain about 4 different kegs of beer in condition, but they will need to last about 2 months each as I will consume about 20 pints a week.
Will they keep that long.

Re: How long will beer keep in a keg
I think you'll get differing answers on this one, but I would say that they'll last 2 months easily, provided that you don't let air in.
I've just finished some Geordie bitter from a kit that I brewed for my birthday party in May. Finished it last weekend and had no complaints from the three of us drinking it. My summer ale (3.6% pale ale) has just been finished also after 3 months in the keg, which only started half full as the other half was bottled. Tasted wonderful (providing you remove the slugs from the tap first ... but that's another thread!).
Hope this helps

Re: How long will beer keep in a keg
Hi,
keeping time depends on many factors; strength, temperature, hoppiness, how effective the sanitation was and so on. But 2 months wouldn't normally concern me with my own regime; I'd normally let it condition for four to six weeks in any case.
Cheers,
Kev
