I've got some grains left I'd like to use up!
Will be a 23L brew
4887g Pale Malt
246g Special B
I also have about 100g of Choc Malt and alot of Black Malt hanging around.
I'll buy a 100g bag of hops but what single variety would work well with this?
Also yeast. I dont have any in but what dry yeast would go with your choice of hops?
I've got 'Brewers Block' (which I guess is better than Brewers Droop)

How about getting some Fuggles and making a nice Porter for the winter. It would be something different. As for Yeast I have no idea, at the moment I just use US-05 in everything as I haven't experimented with anything else yet.

I'd go for Goldings but I lean towards the traditional side of things.
Don't try and use up all your Black in one brew. Probably use 25g max Black if you are putting all that Choc in too.

Good shout. I could go eitherway and use up the choc for porter. I'm not a huge fan of the really darker ones though. I'd probably use my nemesis yeast, Windsor for that.
I only ever use Black for colouring, no more than 20g at a time. Goldings will work. Not even sure why I bought the Special B! Belgian stuff is it? Had an aceto in the brew I bought it for so never got to try it.

Ypu could of course make a shorter brew length, use just the pale and hop to death with EKG for a nice traditional IPA, nottingham or Us 05 would be cool.
