I have in the fermenter My murphys stout which is nearly ready for bottling, now when i transfer from the fermenter to the bottles can i run the liquid through a fine mesh or even a coffee filter ? to stop to much sediment going in to the bottle?
I know i still need yeast in the bottle to had some fizz and condition the beer, will filtering take all the yeast out ?
also i have some dme left to prime the bottles with, is it best to put in the bottles first or the fermenter and than bottle ?
