Art came round today to take a look at an AG brew all went very well until I tried to pick up my boil kettle and spilt 23 litres of beer all over the garage floor meaning I had to start all over again finishing about 10 tonight anyway it will give us all something to laugh about on Wednesday from 8pm at the George again.

Also we can speak to Russell about having a tasting night in November at the pub

i did ponder over you moving the boiler while i was driving home, but figured you must have done it a few times b4,

it was all going so well too.. i was impressed at your set up and how each stage was done,

maybe you will have to have some staging made uin the garage when you get a bit more room...

btw the chickens loved the warm grains... and my brother was so pleased he got his cock out ....

Yeah up until that moment the day had gone really well, basically one of the handles shit itself and there was beer all over the floor but a quick emptying of the garage and a hosepipe soon sorted it.
I started again and we have the beer fermenting in its FV, ended about 10ish

i suppose the handles arnt really man enough to lift the boilers when full....

looks like you need some nice new stainless ones fitting...

I have updated the OP with the date of the next meeting at The George.

The details are as follows

Date - Thursday 18th November
Place - Back Room at The George Pub Tiffield
Time - 8pm

Basically Russell has given us permission to use the back room to have a tasting evening so bring along any homebrew you feel we would like to sample, would also maybe be a good idea to bring a few spares so we can have a bit of a swap around.

One of the guys very kindly brought in some Hops from his local area in France (Strisselspalt and Saaz) so I am going to try and brew a Pale IPA to bring a few bottles for everyone to take away( unless ofc they are crap :sick: )

Everything is looking good but I have been really busy this month so I have been unable to chase people to see who's coming , hopefully a couple will come but I will be there from about 8

we all had a great nite with lots of great discussion over many different brews....

A couple of tasty brews were sampled, I especially liked the stout from the kit as it surprised me how tasty a kit can be adapt to taste.

In the new year I will try and arrange a brewery tour not sure where so suggestions appreciated.

If everyone can make it how does Thursday 16th December sound for next get together

16th should be good for me,
that short brewed edme stout, with brown sugar did come out well and ive got the recipe in my log book, so will replicate it asap...
a brewery tour sounds good, im toying with arranging one early next year for our car club too, so will keep you guys posted,
