Hi just come home from a crafty couple of pints at the medway beer fest and thought for once in my life i would (try to) be organised from the out set.
I Have Just Bottled my first ever brew (wherrys) and plan to do a couple more kits whilst i gather all the materials info and knowledge to try AG Brewing.
One side of this and possibley the most important are the recipe's my question is how do you all organise your recipes both electronically and physically is there a spredsheet app out there or do you type or hand write each one.

Re: organisation
I use beer engine which is also free and very useful.
As far as physically organising recipes, I have a template document on my computer which covers my grain bill, hops, temperatures, brew day timings and a list of stuff to sanitize. On brew day, I adjust the document (grains, temps etc..) and print a copy to stick in the garage. As the brew day progresses I make notes on the printed sheet and file it when I've finished.
This means Ive got a concise list of every recipe I brew, things that went wrong last time I brewed it and things to change for next time.

StrangeBrew 2.0 is java, so cross- platform and its free. It is a bit clunky but it works well enough for me.

Graham Wheelers beer engine available free on this site. Having said that some of my best beer have been made as I go along.
