Buying liquid extract

Post by ead101 » Wed Nov 03, 2010 3:17 pm

Hello,

I recently ordered some coopers extract which was ok but came from Australia (I'm a lover of local).... It also seems to be the most common extract available.

Is there somewhere you can buy different extract brands or is Coopers, Brupak and Muntons the only options?

Just out of interest

I take it by the lack of response that the answer is no.

I've searched high and low on the web too and there only seems to be those three brands.

Anyone know if there's a bulk extract option other than Brupak?

The people best placed to answer your main question are probably the retailers themselves. Maybe fire off a few emails to the bigger HB shops and see what they say.

As for bulk extract, I know The Malt Miller sells some but I don't know who the supplier is.

Hi Ead101

You're in a more enviable position than me :?

I live in Switzerland and all I have access to is Brewferm malt extract and Weyermann's. I know these two are very different from experience but is there a big or noticeable difference between Coopers, Munton's or Brupak? I was just wondering it if were worth bringing some back next time I'm in the UK.

Cheers

Hi Jason,

Sorry I jsut checked on my post and saw your question. I've just used coopers for the last 2 brews and will be using Muntons for the next one. I'll let you know my findings.
