All looks good. I'm very envious of the clear wort. I am going to do lots of recirculating tomorrow/today to get some nice clear wort.

PS I am an ex local, I used to live in Stanford Le Hope.

We should arrange a local JBK meet. If we can find a good pub, I used to drink in the White Lion in Fobbing but not sure what it's like these days.

I set the HLT up the night before on a timer and then start when it's up to temp. This one took about 4½ hours with the clean up,but it was only 60 min boil and mash.

Hi Steve,

I get a clear run off everytime since I started water treatment; not sure if it's related or coincidence though? I also leave it to settle in the boiler for a good 30 mins before running off and recirc a litre or so before it runs clear.

Small world! The White Lion was my local for many years! Back in the days when John and Lynda ran the pub I was a permanent fixture most nights. I still go up there every now and then; it's changed a lot but still one of the better pubs around. The usually have couple of real ales and it is still a peacful place that idiots seem to avoid. :D

When did you drink there; we must have seen ech other!

Too easy! I have no idea how well it keeps as it doesn't hang around that long in this house; the missus loves real ale too! :D

I was never in there in the John and Lynda days, that was before I moved to the area, but I wasa permanent fixture for a few years between 2000 and 2004 ish. I worked behind the bar on odd occasions also.

There were some good characters in that pub, it was usually good fun, and as you say no idiots. :D :D
