Here are the vial and jars ready to receive wort.

I make 800ml wort using 80g of DME. I simply tip this into a measuring jug, fill up to 800ml with hot tap water and give it a good stir. I then fill from let to right: 7ml, 43ml, 250ml, 500ml.

Then I place in the pressure cooker. The vial's top is screwed on loosely. The two jars each have a single small hole in their lids - lids are screwed on tight. The bigger jar has tinfoil fitted tightly as pressure cooker isn't big enough to allow its lid. I then add 600ml of water to pressure cooker.

With lid securely fastened, I wait until the weight is spinning like crazy with the pressure then time for 10 mins. When 10 mins is up, I turn off heat then go to bed / work / or just leave it until it's completely cool. Then, I simply open it and fasten the vial lid securely, place a bit of Blu-Tak over each of the jar holes and clamp the lid down on the bigger jar with a sanitised rubber O ring.
These starters are ready for yeast. A single 'scraping' from my slant is all that's needed to get things rolling. From 'scraping' to 800ml of pitch-able yeast cake usually takes around 5 days. Obviously this can be sped up if I use more yeast initially.
This method really suits me. Weighing out the DME, adding hot tap water, separating between the jars, placing into the pressure cooker probably takes me around 5 minutes. The Pressure cooker does the rest.
