Landlord Clone Today!!!
Landlord Clone Today!!!
No, this is not another cutting edge track. I'm actually brewing today. Got some Golden Promise and loads of Fuggles, Goldings and Styrians. Boiling the first runnings as well. Big, *&^% off slurry of 1469 West Yorkshire to boot!!

Just finished. Starting O.G. 1.044. I hopped with 28g each of Styrians & Fuggles, followed by a hefty charge of EKG and Styrians at the end. Should be around 45-50 IBU's. I have very high hopes for this. Not necessarily as a clone, but a damn good beer.

Sounds like a ripper. With the 1469 I give mine a good thrashing with a slotted spoon morning and night for the first couple of days (as mentioned by GW in his Real Ales book) to simulate the rousing and pumping that they do in Yorkshire Squares. Also the yeast that rises to the surface is great for collecting and slanting or freezing under glycerine, especially with that 1469 that they only release every two years

You think the real Landlord is about that bitter? (I ask because I've never had it) I have some Wyeast 1469 sitting around that needs to get used up soon.Whorst wrote:Just finished. I just racked it and it's delicious. Nice, subtle fruitness, with good hop presence.
In two weeks it will be nectar.
