I use Iodophor rather than Starsan, as I read that StarSan is acidic can damage your surfaces etc - SWAMBO would flay me alive if I damaged the kitchen! Can anyone confirm if that is the case or have I been misinformed?

Hmm - we have some suspicious marks on kitchen surfaces but can't confirm if star san or bleaches...

Star San available http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/aca ... icals.html
227ml wil make up 142 litres (diluting 1.6ml to a litre of water) so 5p per litre mixed up and you can keep it in a spray bottle and use a little or reuse. Cheap enough?

That's the cheapest I've found it so far. It's not the cheapest product on the market, but a little goes a long way.

Again: Don't fear the foam!
