Inspired by dave-o's cheap n easy wit recipe thread (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38303), I have modified the recipe a bit to suit what I have in stock. I plan on brewing this tomorrow if all goes to plan.
Whoregarden
For 40l
Lager malt - 4.5kg
Wheat malt - 1.7kg
Flaked wheat - 1kg
Porridge oats - 0.75kg
Saaz - 40g @ 60 mins
Styrians - 35g @ 0 mins
Coriander seed - 15g @ 15 mins
Orange peel - 10g @ 15 mins
Est SG - 1.046
Est FG - 1.010
Est ABV - 4.7%
Est IBU - 11.4
Est EBC - 5.5
Water treated to less than 50 mg/l CaCO3, gypsom into mash and start of boil and no copper finings.
How does that sound? I've never used coriander or orange peel before and I don't know if the amounts are too extreme. I know it probably isn't true to the style but I think it's worth a punt

Re: Cheap n easy bodged wit
For 40 litres is there enough wheat? I thought it needs to be 50- 50 Malt to Wheat.

Re: Cheap n easy bodged wit
I'd still be tempted to use copper finings personally, in the Wheat beer I made a while back I didn't use them and it leaves a heck of a lot of sediment in the bottles.
So if I were to do another I'd copper fine then rely more on the swirl of the bottle dregs to add the cloudiness to the glass.

cheers pdtnc, but I'm going to serve from cornies not bottles. Do you reckon I should use finings still?
