I only just found this thread aswel, well done Kev
a fantastic setup indeed!
Just the kind of thing most of us would love to be able to make, rather
than bodging bits together as I find myself doing too often.
I know it's sometimes better not to keep score... but any idea of your costs so far?

Thanks! Most of my previous kit was bodged together too - a fair helping of boot sale and second hand shop - but the beer was just as good!
I upgraded mostly due to frustrating problems doing big enough batches with what I had, and increasingly limited time I had to brew in - I'd decided either to give up or upscale and enjoy it again. That said, I still need to sort some peripheral stuff out to get it 'nice' to use, though; the bigger tanks, hoses etc are more awkward to clean, theres a lot of messing about with running hoses and pipes out to the garage and I've condensation and ice problems because the garage is freezing at this time of year.
Anyway, I estimate that it cost a bit under £1,000 - and thats not including the cornie/dispensing side of things or the plastic conical I recently started working on. I may have been put off if I'd realised before-hand, but actually I enjoy making stuff and I enjoy brewing so its returned a lot of quality time, helping me wind down from work and other cack. Looking back, I don't actually regret the cost at all - cheap compared to many hobbies in fact, and of course the beer is far cheaper than buying it, so the setup will even pay for itself in the long run.
Cheers

Excellent work Kev, looks really good!
It's given me a few ideas of the layout when the rest of my bits and bobs arrive.
Cheers!
