On paper, Citra looks a bit scary with that huge AA and powerful flavour (not to mention the undernotes of piss), so I'm being brave and chucking most of the 100g in. Any comments?

Highly experimental. The high IBUs should be balanced by the sweetness from the caramalt. That's the theory anyway.

Re: Planned for next brew day - Citra Mental
Looks good to me, Looks a fairly similiar Hop Schedule to mine yesterday, be interesting to see the difference adding the CaraMalt makes.
Re: Planned for next brew day - Citra Mental
I'll be knocking it up at the weekend. I just wanted to take the edge off slightly with the caramalt. I like hoppy beers, but not bitter enough to strip the enamel from my teeth. I did a single hop Cascade with 324g of caramalt and that turned out a little too sweet.
Re: Planned for next brew day - Citra Mental
That'll turn out well nice! I for one have never got any pissy smells from citra! only mangos and passion fruit!

Re: Planned for next brew day - Citra Mental
Cheers. I've changed the recipe slightly - upped the ABV and IBUs to use up more of the hops now. No point in having any left over. I'm going to dry hop with whatever is left.
