You have to look for it in there.

From what I can remember Stones used to be total rubbish so cant imagine why anyone want to brew it.

The stuff out of a can is vile. Maybe there is a cask version that no-one knows about?

I'm sure there's something other than pale and crystal in there too. Brown Malt or something that I don't like the taste of...

That can't be right can it??? that'll turn out quite drinkable, Stones isn't.
Plus we don't know the chemicals they added, always gave me a thick head!! :=P

must also admit cask stones and exhibition always gave me a mother of a headache after lots of pints, anyone remember Newcastle brown ale on tap, was never a cask ale as far as I can remember, but some beers are meant to be bottle drank, Newcastle brown was and still the only way to be drank!

I always had the same opinion of Stones as others above, until one day when I went on a cellar management course at the Cannon Brewery in Sheffield (RIP). The trainer said that for lunch we were to go to the Pig & Whistle, which was the brewery tap. We were also told that we had an hour to sup as much as we wanted. I moaned "Shame it's Stones..". The trainer said "you won't have tasted Stones like this before!" and he was right, it was one of the best pints I've ever had. Basically what they did was after conditioning they would barrel and stick a use by date of a month on it. They would then keep one barrel from each brew in case of complaints. On the 31st day it was moved to the tap and then drank.

If you really must brew something akin to Stones, best leave it a good while before atempting to drink......
