That's more hoppy than a field of bunnies. We like this.
Needs more Cowbell.

This brewday is going really well. Got just over my preboil OG 1068, and I am boiling now.

Will upload the pictures in a bit. The hops smell great.

Insanely high alpha Warrior FWH.

Yeast repitch. Only used 2/3 of it.

Unlucky on the hop stopper blockage. Great colour though. 8% + bad boy?

Stealth lager look beer that blows the back of the head out and opens a hop garden in the mouth, Just my type of beer! =D>

Should be good, the hops were super fresh and awesome smelling.

You are meant to stick it in your boiler!

The iodine test goes like a Black / Purple with me, then eventually when complete conversion has done it doesn't change colour apart from the bits of starchy stuff left in bits of malt husk. Thats what I've been looking for at least.

I only did a google to find out what to do with it. used it twice so far, though after the first mash with a shed load of Flaked adjuncts I just did a 2 hour+ mash which was plenty of time so when I put drops of the iodine on it nothing happened.

I remembered it from secondary school chemistry. I mashed for about 90 mins so I didn't expect any starch to be left.

This guy is now down to 1020, taking its time, still actively fermenting. I hope to get another 8 points out of it, but if it gets down to 1015 I will be pretty happy.

Blimey thats a right monster, you bad lad!
Must get a long maturation beer like this on, nearly ran out of my Dr Whoover which at just 95 ibu and 6.9% is a relative baby....but after a year its golden beauty hides a thumping bugger of a beer! Wish I'd made more!

I bet you drink it relatively young just for the hop wallop! Gotta be done, I tip my hat sir!

No aging on this one, the hops drop out quickly and you loose some of the intricate flavours.

I would drink it straight out of the fermenter. The hydro samples are superb.

Haha, damn. US IIPAs use as many hops as that, I am lead to belive that Pliny the Elder has 15g of dry hops per L, so if you were doing a 1000L batch thats 15kg of dry hops on their own. Damn I want to try that beer.
