Inspired by an afternoon drinking Brodies brainwave, a very light, hoppy 2.9% beer, that is amazingly refreshing on a sunny afternoon, I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for a recipe for brewing something similiar?

Re: 2.9% brainwave
I made one like this by accident. It was GW's Landlord clone but I measured short on my grain bill. Didn't realise it at the time, until I started to get odd OG readings. I estimate that I had doughed in about 3Kg of Pale (short by about 1.5Kg). The rest of the recipe is straight out of the book.
By working back through BrewMate, I got something like 70IBU. I tried a couple the other night and if slightly chilled they go down a storm. "Crisp" would be one way to describe it.

I buy from The Malt Miller

I ballsed up a Jenning's Cumberland by reading the lb instead of kg bar on the scales!! Resultant ale was beautifully hoppy (good extraction), very flavoursome and refreshing and about 2.6%. Plan to brew another this summer as the cask was finished in about a fortnight.

What yeast did you use for that? Did you use golden promise malt or just bog standard Maris otter?
Thanks

If I tried to replicate it, I probably wouldn't get close. That's the thing with accidents.

If you get a chance, try Redemption Brewery's Trinity. A 3% three hop beer that really punches above it's weight. Sounds like the kind of beer you're going for.
