Interesting. Could I ask what your objective is with this? That is, what type of beer to you want to brew?

Well, I looked at the grains I have left and tried to find a recipe online to suit, came up with 'Briars best' which I like, I wanted a tiny touch of toffee sweetness hence the lyles syrup, chocolate & Crystal to darken and give the recipe a little twist, taking advice looks like I may reduce the Crystal to 500g to reduce the sweetness a little

24g of SO4 yeast starter

will see how it goes but still waiting for fellow brewers input on my grain bill so not 100% sure I will follow this recipe exactly, may be a few little tweeks here and there!

That's fair enough, a bit of user-upper then! The recipe should work fine as it stands. Agreed that you could reduce the crystal a touch, maybe to 500g, and increase the pale accordingly. It's some 10% of the grist as it stands which for my own taste is a little on the high side. Having said that of course, this is all down to what you like, and I don't see a problem with it per se as it is.
