In fact, I was so intrigued by this I sent them the following...

QUOTE Dear Physicians Formulas,

I came across your product as an advert on our very small, homespun forum on home brewing. (For your information:- http://www.forumforfree.com/forums/inde ... act=SC&c=1)).

I was interested by some of the information you published on the health and sedative effects of the hop plant and its similarity to other commonly used natural sedatives.

I was wondering if you had any further information on the research that you have used informulating your product?

Kindest regards

Dunno if they will reply, and I guess most people here get their daily dose by other means, but I thought it might be interesting... :D

Heh!

I've read before that hops are traditionaly used to induce sleep (people used to use 'hop pillows'.

I prefer taking mine in the normal way, though. It certainly puts me to sleep! :D

Me too!

But I think I will keep on at these people to see what they come up with! :D

If nothing else it might provide us with some material for an interesting reader's article for the main site!!! B)

QUOTE (Daft as a Brush @ Jan 19 2006, 11:09 PM) Hops are part of the Marijuana family Reg...coincidence <_< :D
Well it's a long time ago, but I never remember sleepiness as one of the particular... ehem... symptoms.

A fridge suddenly empty of snack food, finding anything including obituaries funny and an ability to talk total nonsense until dawn seem to come to mind.

Jim's Home Brew forum does not endorse, promote or suggest such behaviour No smilies, we don't.

Leprosy. What! :out

Must admit that a lot of heavily (late/aromatic) hopped beers give some bloody strange dreams. Strong cheese too. Not something i'd take on a day-to-day basis as a pill!!

ok I recon you'ld have some good cheeses ;)
I personnaly like a Maroilles with a strong red wine ( cote du rhônes or Bordeaux) or a Camembert with a Bordeaux; we don't use to drink beer with cheese but wine :P
