Pumpkin ale
Im going to try a pumkin ale I know its a bit American but I love pumpkin and sle so it seems like a good idea:) anyone had any success or advice for this brew .. I'd hate to end up with 5 gal of awful beer

Pumpkin has a mild flavor that can get lost in beer, you'll probably want to add some pumpkin pie spices. Go gentle with the spices in the boil as too heavy a hand can muck it up and you can always add more along the way.
I'm just here for the beer.

Pumpkin has such a bland taste that you'd need to use a massive amount of it to get any pumpkin flavour.
I think you'd end up with a rotten sludge.
