is there any brewing clubs or homebrewers that get togeter in or around sunderland ???

Not that I'm aware of, but a few of us northeners have had "meets" at Durham a few times for a drink & a chat.

oh i just saw your post on the newcastle bit cotton cat. where in south tyneside do you live? dunno if your aware but there is a beer festival in gateshead in end of april

well we should plan some club , brew day , beer tasting or somthink for brews in the north east , ( sunderland / newcastle )

Suggest a date and venue Kris. You could start something.

well in suderland some where would be good for me but we could change places every meet or somthink , but would like to get a few people on borad first befor we get dates n venues

a good few of us (Jim, Horden, Eric, Garth, Darlo Dave, Matty and I) meet about once every six months somewhere in Durham for a few beers and a chat. It's not really a homebrew club, more of a gathering of folk with at least one common interest. We have yet to arrange the next one but we're open to different venues. For Sunderland I would probably pick Fitzies with it being in the centre.

Did this ever get of the ground ??? I live in Chester/le-street and my mates hate me discussing beer making crack :) the just think I'm now odd ... Nice to talk to people with the same interests

You should start a club of sorts up in the Area, the CBA will be very supportive I am Sure if you ask for help.

And when I say Club it does not need to be anything more than 3-4 informal gatherings a year.
