Just wondered if any of the honey flavours came through into the final brew?

I'm planning a Woodfordes Great Eastern soon, I am going to brew 1 can to 11.5L totally standard with the kit yeast, and then I will brew the 2nd can a few weeks later with some hops, malt and maybe honey :D

Cheers

MB...the honey comes across well, It needs longer before I get the full flavour but as I said ... its the best beer I ever had even now.

I did a Great Easternthis weekend but did the normal full two cans and I think I'll bottle it because that seems to get a better and result than kegging. (need a huge fridge)

I don't have space/time for AG but modding kits seems to have fantastic results if a little expensive.

Cheers for the feedback, I hope to get can number 1 on this weekend and will then give it 3/4 weeks in the bottle before modding can number 2.

You certainly maintain a high work-rate for making kits, I've had about a 4 week brewing break and I am now chomping at the bit. :=P

I will just need some advice on mods nearer the time
FV:

Conditioning:
AG#41 - Vienna Lager - 5.6%
AG#42 - Heritage Double Ale - 10.5%

On Tap:
AG#44 - Harvest ESB - 5.4%
AG#45 - Amarillo Gold APA - 5.2%

I do a kit ever week and two if I can get away with it. my trouble is that I'm now running out of space to store it.

When I get my next delivery of hops i'll send you some. ( I get 4-5 different hops free off a friend in the trade ;-) )

You might want to consider trying an extract brew?
If you have a pan big enough to simmer 5 litres of water you can add some dried malt, hops, grains etc and do a few small batches to ferment out in demijohns / water bottles.

I'm going to be making my version of Waggle this weekend, so i'll pm you when its ready and we can do a bottle swap to compare if you like.

Never gave any kind of extract brewing a thoughtbut it might be worth a shot.
