CO2 regulator and bottle in Kent

Post by Belly » Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:10 pm

Just kegged my first beer (bottling and pressure barrel before). Whilst this'll naturally carb, using a cornie for the first time I really want to move to a proper co2 setup.

I've done a fair bit of research on line and can't see any suppliers locally. Does anyone know a co2 supplier in Kent? I'm in Orpington, any help gratefully received.

Thanks mate. One for the log. Margate is an hour a way, but worth the trip if there's nothing closer.

Appreciate the help.

They deliver to my work place so you might be able to get them to deliver to you.

Adams should deliver for 5 quid to Orpington (I'm in Orpington and been in touch re delivery about some other gas).

Up to now, and I haven't tried Adams yet, I've been going to Calor - Slyfield, Guildford (19 quid) - for a full sized tank, but buying a couple when I go as it's an hour away. Cheap as chips though.

Dave.

Adams want £50 deposit and will only do small bottles, so total outlay is around £80. I'm smelling a little jaunt to Guilford, as you say two large bottles at that price makes it worthwhile.

All sorted, went to Guilford and got a couple of bottles for £18 each with no deposit. Result.

Also followed this thread:

Now have lawsons regulator and relevant John Guest connectors. What a useful place this is :)

Hi,

OK, so big post resurrection. But I'm Kent based and setting up a keg system so looking for gas.

Are the suggestions earlier in this thread still the ones recommended for Kent based suppliers?

Thanks.

Chris

I have used Adams Gas for about twenty years. I have two 6.35kg CO2 cylinders and pay £18-00 plus vat for refills. I think I paid £10-00 deposit on each of them. I usually drive over to pick up a refill but I have had them delivered. The guys at the depot are very helpful.

Be aware from the 29th March they are moving to;

Westwood Industrial Estate
Margate

+1 for Adams. I've been using them for 5 years now and can't fault them...
