As vacant says, if you lag the pot there shouldn't be any need to have a rack. However when I get really smart and do stepped mashes (protein rest, maltose, dex and mashout rests) I apply bursts of heat and stir the grain with a paddle until it's at the next temperature stage, and I rest the bag on one of these curved roasting racks from a kitchen shop.
Keeps it off the element - in my case - and cups the bag nicely if you peg it round the top of the pot while stirring.
