Mine is down to 1020 - gave it a gentle rouse tonight - hopefully it will get down to a decent SG. Only been going for a week will give it a few more days.

Mine is still burping away nicely with a good pressure under the lid (nicely domed). It has slowed but at a week I would expect so. Not even going to bother checking gravity until the pressure equates a bit more.

mrmojorisin, a level spoon I assume for priming?

I used the small end of a child's medicine spoon(level) per pint, by 3-4 weeks in the bottle it's got a very good head, also, that mug full of sugar will have blended in nicely by then.

Waiting for a new camera otherwise I'd post some snaps.

My Ditch's stout is down to 1010 - bottling tomorrow - had a sneaky little taste out of the FV - not bad - very promising. I'll leave it to carbonate for a week and get stuck in.

Yes, mate. Bog standard, BK. Don't prime it. Don't squirt gas into it. Don't do any of that 'warm to cold', or which ever way it is, malarkey either. Suits me.

Best of it is; If ye find ye don't like such 'flat' beer ~ and I reckon most of that's due to the eye ruling the brain  ~ ye can always shoot it full of CO2 before drinking more.

Entirely up to the individual.

Yeah. A Cornie is the last place I'd want to put my stout, to be honest. Probably come out like Guinness!

No. Then again? Nothing ye could do to this stuff would make it as piss water poor as Guinness :|

This makes me happy. I've noticed some pubs, not content with guiness just being chilled. Now have It SUPER chilled.

There is something wrong with the world.

A typical Sat night in - bottling my DS - complete with obligatory homebrew to make things go a little smoother.

12 X 50cl glass bottles - 7 X 2 litre bottles plus a sneaky little taster.

Loads of washing around - so sue me - I'm single.

Saturday night ....? Mm. I always used to knock up on Sundays. Tended to pick up my gear, from town, on Friday night (out on the piss) or Saturday ~ in town, shopping and having a crafty couple. Then, back home. Feed the creatures. Hit the beer. 'Nuff said. Sunday, I'd crack on.

Now? I only go to town once a week. No Friday nights out either. So, I'll be picking up my monthly consignment. Bringing it home with two inside me and plenty in the wings ..... Next day will become my 'mid week' slavery session.

Dirty washing? A little tip from one who knows here, mate  Want to cut down on ye dirty washing? Bloody easy! Don't f**kin' change ye clothes or bedding!!! <Badoom, Tish!>

Well I must admit the bedding gets washed when it needs it - not every week like my sister does!!

I work on the minimal washing system - dirty washing into the washer - then to radiator - then to the kitchen table - repeat.

Putting away washing is a waste of time - life's too short.

Ironing - whats that Grandad???

A fully functioning "floordrobe" is what you need for clothing/laundry storage

I went to buy the ingredients for a DS today, but my LHBS were completely out of DME (all types) so I had to settle for a 1.5kg tin of Dark LME. Feck it, I'll use it all and just leave out the sugar. It'll probably blow my head off anyway :-)
