Rob the Malt Miller has some shipping contacts so will help us out there if needed. He also wants 20 kegs for himself.

Next Steps.

1. Find out how well they sort out the lids issue.
2. Agree on how many we are going to bring over.
3. Agree where they are going to be delivered to. polymoog seems quite central and has the space.
4. Decide how we are going to handle the money. Do we need a club account, or do we trust anyone enough to them our money up front so they can put the order in.
5. Find out how much shipping will cost.
6. Agree a final price per keg, and start collecting funds.

Its got to be an account imho. With such a large amount of cash it needs to be accountable. Which leads to the problem of the account Signatories as they need to be close enough together to meet up to open the account.

Yep, as I said, if there is a crew of lads who meet here on a regular basis that might be your best bet, that way at least there is accountability.
Over this side they set up a homebrew club, which does not really exist and used that as the basis to open a bank account.

Cracking idea here lads!!!

Based in W.Midlands and can collect from most places. As a skint student however, my order will have to be dependent on the cost being fairly reasonable :)

I'm looking into shipping costs. I am pricing up the shipping of 400 kegs, which will be 10 pallets.

This will give us a guideline.

If the price is right I will take more than the 8 I am down for currently.

Once I know what I think the total price will be I'll update.

In the meantime is there a group of people who are close to each other who would be willing to set up a club account and look after the financial side.

Well I think thats got to be a good central location, then prehaps several pallets get shipped from there to other locations around the uk. I am in East Kent, but can quite easily pick up my corneys from the Essex area if a pallet was forwarded there. Could someone update my location to East Kent

Cheers
