This is a great achievement so far well done =D> but why do the Germans have so many kegs!!!

OK I just got off the phone with her. She is waiting on word back from the place that supplied the kegs and will let me know.

On a less positive note, this order will have to wait until early next year.

I mentioned the numbers involved and she said that due to commitments to other customers that she would not have those type of numbers until early next year and would not be able to furnish an order of this size so soon.

It was not negative, but it will give you guys plenty of time to organise it properly.

<edit>I would be aiming for Mid-February-March, but I told her to keep the order in mind, so I'd be thinking they'll be eager to work on that knowing it's a dead cert.

I know the First shipment has already been allocated.

But if there is a second batch or room on the reserve list can you put me down for 4 (assuming they work out @ around the £15 each as per the first post).

I am in Nottingham so Chesterfield is not too far if the plan is to collect from there.

Let me know if I make the or a list.

Thanks,

Charlie M

It's very positive that she gave that infomation, a less scrupulous supplier might have taken the order and a deposit even thought they knew they couldn't supply straight away.

They're German....they don't tend to be that unscrupulous, it's an advantage of working with them.

Correct indeed! providing the purchase is done Business to consumer. Someone posted earlier about putting the order through a uk business, if we did that then local rate VAT would apply at 20%. Not much difference but thought I'd get it in there  .

It might be worth casting an eye across the pond and making some enquiries about sourcing the cornies in the US. The sort of quantities we are talking about may well make it worthwhile to ship from outside of Europe. There are retailers over there selling packs of 4 refurbished cornies for $100 so I imagine the wholesale price on not-refurbished kegs must be very low indeed.

Not sure about shipping costs from the US but would imagine we would be quite high. I am quite happy to get them from Germany if they are as good as we have heard. In fact the more we buy the cheaper the shipping should be :)

You would also have to add the VAT back on for importing outside of the EU

Just picked up on this thread, albeit a bit late by the looks of it.

If there is a reserve list, I would like to be placed on this and would be after 4?
