Brewers Spring
Brewers Spring
Anyone had owt to do with Brewers Spring kits....spied them on an online site the other day?
Re: Brewers Spring
Details please. (as in where).
They are not a name I am familiar with and while I love the Coopers I make, I will always be willing to try most anything else.
EDIT: I found them on with a google and I see they are mainly Lager(ish) kits, which may be why they passed my radar.

Re: Brewers Spring
Just done a quick search for these, they appear to be a 'new' kit that comes with evreything included in the box - including hop pellets and even priming sugar - Oh and they come with 7.5 litres of 'pure liquid wort' - very interesting!
Re: Brewers Spring
I'd love to, but not at those prices!! might think about one in the new year though!
Re: Brewers Spring
Got one on now, it's been in the fermenter a week and I'm barrelling it tomorrow. You get one massive bag of wort and some dry hop pellets. It smells great in the fermenter. Oh and you get a packet of Cooper's yeast

Re: Brewers Spring
Cooper's yeast, So good it gets everywhere!
Maybe Munton's should use it....

How do you make this kit upTimo wrote:Got one on now, it's been in the fermenter a week and I'm barrelling it tomorrow. You get one massive bag of wort and some dry hop pellets. It smells great in the fermenter. Oh and you get a packet of Cooper's yeast
Re: Brewers Spring
Easy, 12 ltrs RO water (water around here is rubbish) stick the bag of wort in which just pours like water. Add hot water in the large empty bag and pour in. Then give the whole thing a really good thrash about and also top up to 23l. Sprinkle yeast in, throw hop pellets in, plug in heat belt, add airlock, doneparkerwitton wrote:How do you make this kit upTimo wrote:Got one on now, it's been in the fermenter a week and I'm barrelling it tomorrow. Re: Brewers Spring
I have had 2 glasses of this now and it's awesome! This is the best kit lager I have ever done hands down and up to now it's the only lager that doesn't even taste like a kit. It's expensive yeah but dam good

Re: Brewers Spring
Well that's good to hear Timo....maybe it is a tad expensive..but if the resulting brew is as good as you say it is one does not mind paying that bit extra.
Maybe like the old adage "You pay for what you get"
