I have a double Angram beer engine, and use Pipeline purple beer line cleaner.

There are no internal brass parts that the cleaner can come into contact with. The only issue I've had is where a drop of it landed on to my Cheddar Classics leather snooker cue case. Now that mark won't come off!

I think mine must be a different brand. See photo of instructions below:

Thanks hotmog for explaining that no brass in contact with cleaner. =D>

As it seems others use it when diluted, I'm hopeful it will be OK.
Cheers, John

As Hotmog says if there are no brass parts inside no need to worry.

Thanks again for advice.

Would it be ok to use it to help clean cornies too?

Maybe like this

Water rinse
Purple line cleaner (diluted as instructons) soak in cornie 20 mins
Rinse until clear
Starsan to sanitise and neutralise any stray trace blc??

I personally don't like to use caustic on my cornies. Just my two pence.

I have used Beer Line Cleaner (BLC) to clean a corny, it had a lingering rootbeer flavor and aroma to it as well as some beerstone deposits. I soaked 20-30 min and rinsed well with water and then used starsan to neutralize. Took all the deposits off and eliminated the rootbeer contamination. This isn't something I do regularly, just when there are stubborn deposits that PBW wont dislodge.

Be careful with this stuff folks. If you have your hands in the sollution for a fairly short time, you'll find your skin is affected. It would not be good to get it in your eyes. It just disolves whatever organic matter it comes into contact with, even at 1:200 dillution.

I agree with you John. =D>

I realise that this stuff is much more caustic than normal homebrew cleaners, and shouldn't be used without gloves and eye-protection.
It will react with alluminium & zinc too.

I'm only planning to use it on beer lines and possibly cornies & barrels.
I'll use oxy-clean to clean rest of my kit.

Cheers John

I clean my cornys out with oxi clean and blow that out the keg through the lines with co2 every time I change the keg. Then the same with starsan which i leave in the keg under a bit of pressure.
