He also told me that on the morning after his wedding night he made his newly wed wife the best cooked breakfast she had ever had, everything was perfect. He took it to her in bed, laid it on her lap and watched her as she devoured every morsel. When she finished she said, darling that was fantastic. He said to her "I know, and that how i want it cooked every 4kin day from now on" :D
hee hee hee :D :)

well i collected 22 l at 1064 from 6kg of grains, is that good? i learned a few lessons as i did a few things the hard way but i'll know for next time. Only real problem i had was the hop strainer kept getting blocked

Thats v. good as far as im concerned (somebody else will prob tell you the efficency) thats going to be one strong brew. I had problems with my hop strainer as well, it seems that ift funtions well with 60-70g of loose hops but once you go to the 100g or above it blocks something rotten. When doing brews with lots of hops i've started to bag the bittering hops and some of the flavour hops (30 min addition hops) but throw in the aroma etc hops (anything after the half hour mark) loose that way you get the filtering effect and lots of floral hop tastes and aroma from the addition of loose hops.
I've heard that bagging bittering hops cuts down on their utilisation so you might want to up the bittering hops slightly if doing it this way.

Will be doing my first all grain hopfully in the next week or so. Do you have to cut the hops before adding them to the boil?
